Ghana’s Struggles in AFCON Qualifying and Recent Tournaments

Ghana has earned just two points from four matches in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, falling behind Angola (9 points) and Sudan (7 points) in Group F. The last time Ghana failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations was in 2004. Recent AFCON performances include:

2019: Knocked out in the Round of 16

2021: Eliminated in the group stage without a win

2024: Again, it was eliminated in the group stage without a win

2024: On the verge of missing AFCON qualification
