Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo kept a level head following his team’s 3-1 away victory over Leicester City at King Power Stadium. Super Eagles defender Ola Aina completed the full 90 minutes, while Taiwo Awoniyi made a late appearance off the bench in the 81st minute. Despite first-half heroics from Ryan Yates and a second-half brace from Chris Wood, Nuno was quick to temper the celebrations, focusing instead on areas of improvement.
“It doesn’t mean anything,” said Nuno. “What is important is Monday. We are going to prepare for West Ham. It’s going to be tough. It’s not what guides us. It’s how we do things and how we correct details – you can see the goal we conceded; we have to look and try to improve the team.”
Although Forest have found themselves in strong form, with just one loss in nine games and a potential top-half finish within reach, Nuno remains pragmatic. He urged fans to enjoy the win but emphasized the need to remember the journey from their difficult start in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Chris Wood’s consistent scoring form has seen Awoniyi move to a backup role, though Aina continues to be a regular fixture in the lineup.
