Jordan Ayew Reflects on Late Winner in Leicester’s Comeback Against Southampton

Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew expressed confidence in his abilities after scoring a dramatic late winner in Leicester City’s 3-2 comeback victory over Southampton. Trailing 2-0 at halftime, Ayew netted in the 98th minute, connecting with a corner to seal the win at St. Mary’s.

In his post-match interview, Ayew described his first league goal for Leicester as a “special moment,” highlighting his belief in his skills and his desire to contribute more to the team. Southampton had taken the lead through Cameron Archer and Joe Aribo, but Leicester responded with goals from Facundo Buonanotte and Jamie Vardy before Ayew’s decisive strike.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, who assisted Buonanotte’s goal, was named Man of the Match after his standout performance off the bench.
