Laryea Kingston Open to Coaching Ghana Again, But Only With Adequate Support

Former Black Starlets coach Laryea Kingston has expressed his willingness to return to coaching a Ghana national team, but emphasized that proper support from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) would be essential.

Kingston stepped down from his role as U-17 coach in May after failing to qualify for the AFCON U-17 tournament. Despite the setback, he remains open to returning if the right conditions are met, stating in an interview with Joy Sports, “If Ghana calls upon me and provides the necessary support, I am ready to return and give back to my country.”

He also highlighted the need for former players like himself and C.K. Akonnor to contribute to the development of Ghanaian football, using their experience both as players and coaches.
