Liverpool Plans €60 Million Bid for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush

Liverpool is reportedly considering an opening offer of €60 million to gauge Eintracht Frankfurt’s willingness to sell striker Omar Marmoush. According to Fichajes, the club is eager to secure Marmoush “as soon as possible” due to his remarkable performances this season.

The Egyptian forward has been in sensational form, but Frankfurt may resist any January offers if they remain competitive in the Bundesliga. Arne Slot, who inherited a solid squad from Jurgen Klopp, made minimal changes during the summer transfer window, with Federico Chiesa being the only notable outfield addition, and he has yet to make a significant impact.

With obvious needs in defense and midfield, Slot might also consider bringing in a new striker to strengthen the attacking options. Darwin Nunez has struggled for consistent playing time, leading to Diogo Jota being viewed as Liverpool’s starting No. 9, putting Nunez’s future in question.

While transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dismissed rumors about Nunez’s potential exit, his ongoing role as a secondary option could lead to a reassessment. Regardless, Liverpool will likely evaluate their squad before making any major transfer decisions in January, though they are keen to bring in a new striker if the opportunity arises.

Marmoush has dazzled in the Bundesliga, scoring nine goals in seven matches, including a standout brace against Bayern Munich, catching the attention of several top clubs, including Liverpool.

As multiple elite clubs monitor Marmoush, Liverpool aims to get ahead in the race with their €60 million offer, looking to secure the Egyptian striker quickly. However, with Frankfurt currently third in the Bundesliga, it may prove challenging for them to part with the 25-year-old if they remain in the title chase. Moreover, Marmoush’s contract runs until 2027, suggesting that Frankfurt would demand significantly more than the initial bid and might not be open to a January sale.
