Italian-Ghanaian striker Mario Balotelli is ready to make his debut for Genoa in their Serie A clash with Fiorentina. The 34-year-old returns to Italian football after stints in Switzerland and Turkey, having signed with Genoa until the end of the season.
Balotelli last featured for Adana Demirspor in Turkey, with his contract expiring in the summer. His free transfer to Genoa marks his 12th club in a career that has included Inter Milan, AC Milan, and hometown team Brescia.
Ahead of the Thursday evening match, Balotelli shared his excitement: “I’m pumped, I want to get started and I send my greetings to the fans. See you at the stadium.”
