Jonathan Mbanugu, also known as Jon Power, is gearing up for his USA debut against Kevin Johnson on November 30, 2024. This event, organized by Swift and DSG Promotions, marks a critical moment for Mbanugu following his recent loss in Albania for the WBO Global light heavyweight title. His manager, Mr. Gordon Frimpong of Osibor Promotions, is confident that Mbanugu has learned from his defeat and will deliver a stronger performance on this larger stage.
Joining Mbanugu in the USA are John Zile, who will also compete, and Stanley Nyantekyi, known as the Ashanti Warrior. Nyantekyi will fight for the UBO World Featherweight title against Martin Sergio ‘El Canalla’ Sosa in Wisconsin on December 9, 2024. With a record of 10 wins and only 1 loss, the 23-year-old Nyantekyi is determined to bring the world title back to Ghana, vowing to never lose again.
“This is my opportunity. By the Grace of God, this world title will be in Ghana, and I promise the Asantehene and Ghanaians victory,” said Nyantekyi.
