*Moses Simon Prepares Super Eagles for Tough Encounter Against Libya in Benghazi*

Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has urged Nigeria to prepare for a tough match as they take on Libya in their Africa Cup of Nations 2025 qualifier on October 15. The match, to be held at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Benghazi, is crucial for both teams, with Nigeria looking to extend their lead in Group D.

Simon acknowledged the challenges of the upcoming fixture but reassured fans that the Super Eagles are ready to face the expected hostility from Libya’s Mediterranean Knights. “They showed us a bit of what to expect there in Libya. But we’re mentally prepared for their hostility. We know they will want to come out to win,” Simon stated. “This will be good for us. So we will have to play neutral. We are really, really mentally prepared for them.”

In the first leg, Nigeria secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Libya, thanks to a late goal from Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. Simon reflected on that hard-fought win, saying, “Yeah, it was a nervy game. We all knew the game was going to be difficult. But we’re prepared for it. There are no more minnows in the game.” He emphasized the significance of the victory, noting that the team emerged unscathed.

Leading Group D with seven points, Nigeria could secure their qualification for AFCON 2025 with a win in Benghazi, giving them two games to spare.
