Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Myron Boadu will sit out VfL Bochum’s friendly against FC Cologne due to a hip injury, as reported by the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung. The 23-year-old has been sidelined since Monday and is following an individual training plan for recovery.
Bochum head coach Peter Zeidler is optimistic about Boadu’s return, stating, “Most likely, Myron will be able to train again on Friday.” If all goes well, Boadu could be available for the club’s upcoming Bundesliga clash against Hoffenheim on October 19.
Boadu has been a standout performer for Bochum this season, contributing two goals and one assist in six Bundesliga appearances. His absence in the friendly will allow other forwards a chance to shine, but fans are eagerly awaiting his return as Bochum aims to climb the league table.
