Ghanaian defender Nathaniel Adjei expressed his excitement after playing a full 90 minutes in Lorient’s 4-2 win against Annecy FC in the French Ligue 2. The victory moved Lorient to the top of the standings after nine matches this season.
“Another three important points. Support amazing as always,” Adjei shared on Instagram following the game.
Despite an early goal from Annecy’s Kapitbafan Djoco in the 7th minute, Lorient mounted a second-half comeback. Elie Kroupi’s brace and goals from Joel Mugisha and substitute Sambou Soumano sealed the win, while Annecy’s Trevis Dago scored a late consolation. Adjei’s strong performance solidified his role in the heart of Lorient’s defense.
Lorient now sits at the top of the table with 19 points and will face Rodez on October 25.
