Nottingham Forest players Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi, along with the Nigerian Super Eagles, have chosen to boycott their AFCON 2025 qualifier against Libya after being stranded for 12 hours at Al Abraq Airport. The Nigerian team, which includes Premier League stars Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, and Wilfred Ndidi, faced a flight diversion and lack of communication from Libyan authorities. The NFF expressed outrage at the situation, with Aina taking to social media to demand CAF action.
