Odemwingie Endorses Eguavoen for Permanent Super Eagles Coaching Role

Former Stoke City striker and Super Eagles player, Peter Osaze Odemwingie, has expressed his support for Augustine Eguavoen to be appointed as the permanent head coach of the Nigerian national football team. Odemwingie highlighted Eguavoen’s passion for the role, his experience, and his commitment to Nigerian football. Eguavoen, currently serving as interim coach, has led Nigeria to two wins and a draw in their 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign. Odemwingie believes Eguavoen’s dedication and vision make him a strong candidate for the full-time position.
