Nottingham Forest is in advanced discussions to extend Nigerian defender Ola Aina’s contract, following a strong start to the season that has attracted interest from Roma. Aina, who joined Forest on a free transfer from Torino in the summer of 2023, initially signed a one-year deal, which was later extended by another year. Despite Roma’s interest in securing a pre-contract in January, Forest is working behind the scenes to secure Aina for the long term. The versatile defender has made 29 appearances for the club, becoming a key player and a positive presence off the pitch as well. Forest is determined to keep him at the City Ground, recognizing his value as he approaches his prime at 27.
