Porto striker Samu Omorodion has spoken about his failed transfer to Chelsea during the summer. The 20-year-old, who had already passed a medical while representing Spain at the Olympics, saw the move collapse due to Chelsea’s inability to finalize personal terms. Omorodion instead joined Porto from Atlético de Madrid, where he has thrived, netting seven goals in seven games, including two against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League. Reflecting on the situation, Omorodion expressed that “God didn’t want it,” but is now fully focused on his future at Porto, grateful for the opportunity and leaving the past behind.
