Peter Ofori-Quaye Criticizes Ghana FA After U20’s Heavy Defeat to Germany

Former Black Stars striker Peter Ofori-Quaye has strongly criticized the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the Ghana U20 team’s 5-0 loss to Germany. The ex-Olympiacos player took to Facebook, expressing his frustration over the selection process, questioning why many players on the team sheet appeared without club affiliations. “You can’t even select 11 players from your own local league… this is serious,” he wrote, raising concerns about the quality of player recruitment. The defeat comes as the Black Satellites prepare for the 2024 WAFU Zone B U20 Championship, a qualifier for the 2025 CAF U20 Cup of Nations.
