Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu continued his impressive form for FC Viktoria Plzen, scoring twice in their 3-1 victory over FC Banik Ostrava in a Czech First League clash on Saturday afternoon.
The 21-year-old opened the scoring just five minutes into the game with a clever lob, following a well-placed pass from midfielder Alexander Sojka. Adu doubled Plzen’s lead just before halftime, heading in a cross from veteran defender Milan Havel.
Banik Ostrava pulled one back in the 87th minute through Czech midfielder Matej Sin, who was assisted by Nigerian forward Abdullahi Tanko. However, Plzen sealed their win in the 90th minute when substitute Erik Jirka, who replaced Adu in the 83rd minute, found the net.
Ghana international Patrick Kpozo started for Banik Ostrava, playing 76 minutes before being substituted by Daniel Holzer.
Adu, who joined Viktoria Plzen from Ukrainian club Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih this summer, has now scored three goals in six league appearances. He also scored in the UEFA Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this season.
