Prince Tagoe Criticizes Decision to Hand Black Stars Captaincy to Mohammed Kudus Over Jordan Ayew

Former Black Stars striker Prince Tagoe has voiced his disapproval of the decision to name Mohammed Kudus as captain over Jordan Ayew for Ghana’s recent doubleheader against Sudan in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers. Kudus was handed the captain’s armband after Thomas Partey’s absence due to medical reasons. Tagoe, speaking on Angel FM, expressed that Jordan Ayew should have been chosen to avoid controversy and maintain unity in the team. He emphasized the need for patience, suggesting that Kudus’ time to captain the team will come later. Ghana is currently third in their qualification group after a draw and a loss to Sudan.
