Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has emerged as a potential target for Real Madrid, but a January transfer now appears off the table.
According to Sky, Bayer Leverkusen is not open to letting the 23-year-old leave mid-season, despite strong interest from the Spanish giants. Frimpong has impressed this season with six Bundesliga appearances, contributing one goal and one assist.
Although Real Madrid is expected to intensify its pursuit next summer, Frimpong remains under contract with Leverkusen until 2028, with an exit clause set between £40 million and £45 million. For now, Frimpong is focused on his role at the German club, with any deal likely to unfold after the current season.
