Saudi Pro League (SPL) Director of Football Michael Emenalo has confirmed that there was genuine interest in signing Mohamed Salah during the recent transfer window. However, he noted that Liverpool was unwilling to sell the Egyptian star, and Salah himself wasn’t ready to make the move. Emenalo explained that while SPL clubs were keen to bring Salah to the league, the transfer couldn’t happen as the player felt he had “unfinished business” at Liverpool. The situation mirrors a similar interest in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, where club and player alignment was crucial for any deal.
