Summerville Celebrates with Kudus After Key Goal in West Ham’s Win Over Manchester United

West Ham forward, Crysencio Summerville shared his thoughts on celebrating with Mohammed Kudus after scoring against Manchester United.

After a scoreless first half, Summerville found the net in the 74th minute by tapping in a deflected shot from Danny Ings, assisted by Jarrod Bowen. Following his goal, the former Leeds player ran to the bench to celebrate with the suspended Kudus, having predicted he would score before coming on.

“I saw Danny [Ings] was about to hit the ball and just anticipated it. I thought, ‘yes, I’m going to reach this ball,'” he told the BBC. “There were a lot of emotions because every forward player wants to play. I try to help the team in any way I can. I told [Mohamed] Kudus that if I came on, I would score, and that’s why I went to him.”

Manchester United equalized in the 81st minute with a goal from Casemiro, who finished a sequence of three headers. However, just when it seemed the match would end in a draw, West Ham was awarded a controversial penalty, which Jarrod Bowen converted to secure a 2-1 victory for the Hammers.

West Ham aims to continue their winning streak as they prepare to face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday.
