By blending tradition with bold modernity, Puma and Ghanaian creatives craft a design that tells the story of a nation.
Global sportswear giant Puma has unveiled the highly anticipated home and away kits for Ghana’s national football team for the 2024/25 season. These designs seamlessly merge Ghana’s rich cultural heritage with contemporary aesthetics, creating jerseys that symbolize pride, unity, and resilience.
The home kit honors tradition with its classic white base, adorned with a subtle Adinkra-inspired pattern and the iconic black star at its heart—a powerful emblem of Ghanaian identity. Meanwhile, the away kit takes a daring turn with vibrant yellow, reflecting the team’s spirited energy and diversity.
Renowned Ghanaian designer Jefferson Osei led the project, collaborating with acclaimed painter Daniel Alum Jasper. Together, they incorporated intricate Adinkra symbols that represent unity and strength across Ghana’s tribes. “We wanted the kits to reflect Ghana’s cultural richness while bringing the team and fans together through a shared sense of identity,” said Osei.
Although designed for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana’s participation remains uncertain. With decisive qualifiers against Angola and Niger ahead, the Black Stars must secure positive results to earn their spot in the tournament.
Regardless of their journey, these kits embody the heart and soul of a nation, ensuring Ghana will always shine bright on the global stage.
