Black Galaxies head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has announced a 32-man squad for a pre-CHAN qualifiers training camp as Ghana prepares for a crucial showdown against Nigeria. The camp, set to begin on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, will focus on sharpening the team ahead of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
The players will engage in two weeks of intensive preparation, including tactical drills, fitness exercises, and friendly matches designed to build cohesion and readiness for the high-stakes clash. The team will temporarily break camp from December 1-5 to observe the National Elections before regrouping on December 8 to finalize preparations.
Ghana will host the first leg of the qualifiers on Saturday, December 21, 2024, before traveling to Nigeria for the decisive second leg between December 27-29, 2024. The Black Galaxies are determined to replicate their success from the 2023 CHAN qualifiers, where they edged past Nigeria to secure a tournament berth.
Coach Dramani emphasized the importance of this phase, stating that it offers a vital opportunity to assess players and refine strategies. With the 2025 CHAN tournament scheduled to take place across Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, the Black Galaxies are keen to secure their spot and continue Ghana’s strong legacy in African football.
