As the Black Stars gear up for their final two matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reassured fans that the team is fully focused and prepared to give their all. Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director for the GFA, confirmed that the players and technical team are committed to making a final push for qualification.
Ghana’s next challenge is a crucial clash against Angola, who have already qualified, set to take place on Friday, November 15, at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda. They will then face Niger in their final match on November 18 at the Accra Sports Stadium. Despite some key players being unavailable, Asante Twum emphasized that those remaining are determined to deliver.
“The players are determined to put up a good performance,” Asante Twum shared in an interview with Asempa FM. He highlighted that the technical team has held meetings to ensure players are aware of the stakes. “We know it wouldn’t be easy given the circumstances, but the players are ready to give their best.”
Currently third in Group F with two points, Ghana needs both victories and favorable results from other matches to qualify for AFCON 2025 in Morocco. The team held its final training session before heading to Luanda, focused on overcoming Angola and keeping their hopes alive.
