“It Was Amazing”: Joseph Paintsil Shines as LA Galaxy Storm Into MLS Western Conference Final

Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil has expressed his delight after delivering a stellar performance in LA Galaxy’s emphatic 6-2 victory over Minnesota United, securing their place in the MLS Western Conference final. Paintsil was instrumental in the win, scoring two goals and showcasing his influence as the Galaxy now prepare to face the Seattle Sounders.

The 26-year-old former KRC Genk star credited the team’s success to a collective effort and a relentless mentality fostered both on and off the pitch.

“Things are really a little bit changed because of the way we press. As you can see today, everybody was really hungry to win this game, even after a long break,” Paintsil shared in his post-match remarks. “In training, we’ve been pushing each other, and that connection is what made the difference today. Everyone fought for every ball, and it was amazing to come out with this great score.”

Paintsil’s brace was complemented by doubles from Gabriel Pec and Dejan Joveljić, highlighting the team’s attacking depth. Despite the loss, Minnesota’s Ghanaian-Italian forward Kelvin Yeboah also shone, scoring twice in an eight-goal thriller that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

As LA Galaxy moves closer to the MLS Cup final, they will look to maintain this momentum in what promises to be an intense clash against Seattle Sounders.
