The Korean Paralympic Committee (KPC) held the opening ceremony for its annual Youth Para Sports Camp in Incheon, South Korea, on November 5, 2024. This international event welcomes 60 participants, including athletes, coaches, and staff from various countries, running through to November 13. The program offers young athletes valuable training and exposure, preparing them for future competitions, including the Los Angeles Paralympics in 2028.
The ceremony featured welcoming speeches by National Paralympic Committee (NPC) presidents, followed by introductions of the participants, a highlight video from the 2023 camp, and a commemorative photo session. The three-hour event concluded with speeches from participants, a preview video of the 2024 camp, and a second photo session. Afterward, attendees enjoyed a time of networking and bonding.
NPC Ghana, represented by official Michael Obeng and three para-athletes, joined in the camp’s activities. The camp resumes on November 7, with scheduled sports practices in badminton, swimming, and taekwondo.
