Ghanaian striker Kwaku Karikari showcased his skill and determination for AC Horsens, contributing both a goal and an assist in a tightly contested 3-2 defeat to Odense BK in the Danish 1st Division at Nature Energy Park.
Karikari’s impressive play began in the 25th minute when he skillfully set up teammate Sebastian Pingel to level the score after Luca Kjerrumgaard’s early goal had given Odense the lead. Odense regained the advantage just before halftime with a deflected strike from Jakob Bonde, and Mihajlo Ivancevic further extended the home side’s lead with a commanding header in the 55th minute.
Refusing to give up, Karikari answered back four minutes later, connecting on a well-timed cross from Mikkel Kallesøe to reduce the deficit to 3-2. His relentless effort highlighted his influence on the pitch, though AC Horsens ultimately couldn’t find an equalizer to salvage the match.
With 15 appearances, three goals, and two assists so far this season, Karikari continues to shine for AC Horsens. “The Yellows” will aim to return to winning ways on November 24 when they face HB Køge at home.
