Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Poku has clinched his second consecutive League One Player of the Month award, earning the October accolade after a stellar month with Peterborough United. Following his September win, Poku continued his impressive form, tallying two goals and providing four assists across six matches in October.
Expressing his excitement, Poku shared, “I’m thrilled to win this award again. It’s a great feeling to be recognized back-to-back, and it’s all down to hard work and consistency. While I didn’t score as many as last month, creating goals is just as fulfilling, and I’m looking to keep up the numbers in November.”
Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson also commended Poku’s influence on the team, highlighting his ability to consistently deliver. “It’s a fantastic achievement for Kwame, and it’s a testament to his performance. He’s been a significant threat, consistently creating and scoring for us, and he’s truly in great form,” said Ferguson.
With this accomplishment, Poku continues to solidify his place as one of the standout talents in League One, pushing Peterborough forward as the season unfolds.
