Mathew Cudjoe Nets First Goal for Bnei Sakhnin in Victory Over Beitar Jerusalem

In only his third appearance for Bnei Sakhnin, Mathew Cudjoe marked a memorable moment by scoring his first goal for the club in their 2-1 win over Beitar Jerusalem in the Israeli Premier League on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Joining Bnei Sakhnin just three weeks ago on a free transfer, the 20-year-old Ghanaian winger showcased his talent with an impressive performance. Early in the game, Cudjoe set up Konstantinos Sotiriou’s 12th-minute goal to give his team an initial lead.

Then, in the 54th minute, Cudjoe made a brilliant play, receiving the ball near the center arc and threading it to Obeida Darwish on the right. Darwish delivered a pinpoint pass into the area, where Cudjoe struck a powerful shot into the net, securing a two-goal cushion for his side. Although Beitar Jerusalem managed to pull one back just three minutes later, Bnei Sakhnin held on for the victory.
