Osman Bukari Recalled to Black Stars for Pivotal AFCON Qualifiers Against Angola and Niger

Austin FC’s Osman Bukari Returns to Ghana’s Squad After Five Months for Crucial AFCON Showdown

Osman Bukari, forward for Austin FC, has rejoined the Black Stars for the first time in five months as Ghana prepares for decisive 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger. Bukari, who last represented Ghana in January at the 2023 AFCON, has been given another opportunity to bring his experience and drive to a team restructured due to multiple withdrawals.

Despite missing action in June’s World Cup qualifiers, Bukari’s consistent form in the U.S. earned him this recall. With 17 caps, three goals, and two assists in his international career, he could play a key role in a squad that has lost regulars like Antoine Semenyo and Inaki Williams to injuries and personal commitments.

The Black Stars face Angola in Luanda on November 15 and host Niger in Accra on November 18. With only two points from their last four games, Ghana must secure victories in both matches to keep their hopes alive for AFCON qualification.
