German-born Ghanaian striker Ragnar Ache delivered a standout performance to lead 1. FC Kaiserslautern to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Eintracht Braunschweig in a Bundesliga 2 showdown at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion on Sunday.
Ache was instrumental from the start, setting up Filip Kaloc with a perfectly timed assist in the 17th minute to put Kaiserslautern ahead. The striker then doubled the lead in the 41st minute, showcasing his predatory instincts with a clinical close-range finish after linking up seamlessly with Daniel Hanslik.
Braunschweig clawed back just before the break when Rayan Philippe converted a penalty to make it 2-1. However, the hosts struck again in first-half stoppage time, with Hanslik finding the net from a Ronstadt pass to restore their two-goal cushion.
The visitors mounted a late fightback, with Philippe scoring his second goal in the dying moments, but Kaiserslautern’s defense held firm to secure their fifth league win of the season. Ache’s performance, highlighted by his eighth goal and second assist of the campaign, underscored his importance to the Red Devils.
Kaiserslautern will aim to carry this momentum into their next fixture against Schalke 04 on November 29.
