“Super-Sub Ayew Saves Leicester with Dramatic Late Goal Against Ipswich”

In a nail-biting Premier League showdown, Jordan Ayew emerged as Leicester City’s hero, striking a dramatic late goal to secure a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The match began cautiously, with both sides creating few chances. Ipswich eventually found the breakthrough in the 55th minute, courtesy of Leif Davis. With the lead in hand, Ipswich looked set to close out a hard-fought victory, especially as Leicester’s attempts to respond seemed futile.

But the game took a dramatic twist when Ipswich’s Kalvin Phillips received his marching orders after a second yellow card in the 77th minute. Now up a man, Leicester intensified their offensive efforts. In a strategic move, manager Enzo Maresca introduced Jordan Ayew in the 86th minute, a substitution that would prove to be crucial.

As injury time ticked down, Ayew connected with a precise pass from Jamie Vardy, slotting home the equaliser in the 90+4 minute. This was Ayew’s second goal of the season, a strike that proved invaluable to Leicester as they salvaged a point in front of their supporters.

Fatawu Issahaku, initially uncertain to feature, played a full 90 minutes, providing stability for the Foxes. With this result, Ipswich remains winless this season, while Leicester sits in 15th place with 10 points after 10 games.
