Daniel Agyei Shines as Leyton Orient Cruise Past Crawley Town

Leyton Orient’s Daniel Agyei delivered a standout performance to inspire his team to a commanding 3-0 victory over Crawley Town in their League One encounter.

The English-born Ghanaian forward found the back of the net early in the second half, doubling Orient’s lead after Charlie Kelman had opened the scoring on the half-hour mark. Kelman’s strike came courtesy of a perfectly timed assist from Oliver O’Neill, setting the tone for a dominant display by the home side.

Agyei’s goal, his fourth of the season, showcased his precision and composure in front of goal. The 26-year-old forward, who joined Orient from Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2023, has now been involved in eight League One goals this season, with four goals and four assists.

Defender Omar Beckles capped off the victory just five minutes after Agyei’s strike, ensuring Leyton Orient secured all three points. Agyei was substituted in the 77th minute for Sonny Perkins, receiving applause from the home fans for his contribution.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott played the full 90 minutes for Crawley Town but was unable to prevent his side’s defeat.

Despite his fine form, Agyei remains undecided on his international future. Born to Ghanaian parents in England, he has yet to represent either country, though his performances continue to raise his profile.
