Didi Dramani Confident as Black Galaxies Gear Up for CHAN Qualifiers Against NigeriaBlack Galaxies head coach, Didi Dramani, is exuding confidence ahead of Ghana’s crucial clash against arch-rivals Nigeria in the 2024 Championship for African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.
The two-legged encounter kicks off on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the return leg scheduled for Nigeria a few days later. This marks the second consecutive CHAN qualifier meeting between the two sides, with Ghana triumphing on penalties in their last encounter two years ago to secure qualification.
Ghana’s preparation for the high-stakes fixture has been intense, capped off by a morale-boosting 2-0 win over Togo in a recent friendly. Albert Amoah and Issah Yakubu found the back of the net in a performance that showcased the team’s readiness.
Speaking ahead of the game, Dramani expressed optimism about his team’s readiness.
“We are physically, technically, and tactically well-oriented,” Dramani stated. “As the days go by, we continue to refine and make small adjustments to ensure we’re ready for any scenario in the game. I’m very positive that come Sunday, we’ll be fully prepared.”
The CHAN tournament, set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, provides a platform for domestic-based players to shine on the continental stage. For Ghana, a victory against Nigeria would not only secure qualification but also affirm the strength of the local league.
With the stakes high and history on their side, the Black Galaxies are determined to deliver another memorable performance against their West African neighbors.
