Promising Ghanaian sprinter, Naseera Efua Quansah, a standout from Sammo and Mfantsiman SHS in the Central Region, has secured a scholarship with the University of Kentucky in the USA.
Quansah rose to prominence after clinching the female division title at the 2024 GNPC Ghana Fastest Cape Coast Meet, where she competed against seasoned local stars such as Mary Boakye (Ghana Armed Forces) and Zeinab Awuni (Sagnation Club, Ashanti Region).
Her achievements include winning gold in the 100m and 200m events at the 5 Nations Competition in 2024, as well as contributing to Ghana’s victory in the West African Senior 4x100m relay. These accomplishments cement her reputation as a world-class athlete.
A fan of Olympians Sha’Carri Richardson and Julien Alfred, Quansah has also been recognized for her contributions to sports, receiving an award at the 2024 Women in Sports Association (WISA) Awards held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
