Bukari, who has always been passionate about grassroots football, provided jerseys, balls, and socks to all 22 teams participating in the tournament.
The initiative catered to both male and female teams, showcasing Bukari’s commitment to gender inclusivity in sports. Beyond the gear, each team received GH₵1,000 to support their participation. The tournament has been widely praised for fostering unity and nurturing young talent in the region.
Bukari’s efforts are a testament to his belief in the transformative power of football, not just as a sport but as a tool for community empowerment and inspiration.
Frimpong’s Gift to Ghana’s Future
Meanwhile, in the bustling city of Accra, Bayer Leverkusen’s versatile wingback Jeremie Frimpong made a heartfelt visit to the Osu Children’s Home. During his one-week stay in Ghana, Frimpong donated items worth over GH₵30,000, including Bayer Leverkusen jerseys for the children’s football team, food supplies, and other essentials.
Reflecting on his contribution, Frimpong shared, “This has always been a dream of mine. While I play football for my family, being able to support others is equally important to me. Giving back to Africa, my roots, is something I hold dear. Seeing the kids happy is worth everything.”
