Prince Obeng Ampem’s Heroics Secure Eyupspor a Point Against Galatasaray

In a thrilling encounter at the Turkish Super League, Eyupspor managed to hold defending champions Galatasaray to a 2-2 draw, thanks to a late equalizer from Ghanaian forward Prince Obeng Ampem.

Eyupspor began the match on a high note, with Emre Akbaba firing them into an early lead in the 13th minute. However, Galatasaray’s response came swiftly through Barış Alper Yılmaz, leveling the score just before halftime.

The second half saw Galatasaray take the initiative, with Nigerian international Victor Osimhen providing an assist for Roland Sallai to put the visitors ahead in the 47th minute.

Facing the prospect of defeat, Eyupspor turned to their bench, introducing Prince Obeng Ampem in the 73rd minute. The decision paid off almost immediately as the 26-year-old forward showcased his composure and skill, netting a crucial equalizer just seven minutes later.

Ampem’s first goal of the season was not only a personal milestone but also vital for Eyupspor’s campaign, helping them remain in fourth place with 23 points, firmly in contention for European qualification.
