Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Brimah has signed with Spanish fourth-tier club CD Calahorra, marking a new chapter in his extensive career. The 37-year-old, who joined as a free agent, has penned a deal that runs until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Brimah brings a wealth of experience to Calahorra and is expected to play a key role in their quest for promotion to the third tier of Spanish football. However, having been without a club for most of the current season, the former Black Stars shot-stopper will need to fight for the first-choice goalkeeper spot.
The veteran has spent much of his career in Spain, featuring for clubs like Córdoba, Tenerife, and Linares. His time away from Spanish football came during his stint with South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2017/18 season.
Internationally, Brimah boasts 27 caps for Ghana, having represented the Black Stars at the 2015 and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, where the team finished as runners-up and fourth, respectively.
Calahorra will look to leverage Brimah’s experience and leadership as they aim for success in their promotion campaign.
