“Uncertain Future: Abdul Aziz Issah Struggles for Minutes at Barça Atlètic”

Ghanaian teenager Abdul Aziz Issah’s stint with Barça Atlètic hangs in the balance as he grapples with limited playing time under coach Albert Sánchez. The 18-year-old winger, who joined on loan with high expectations, has managed just 25 minutes across nine games this season in Spain’s Primera RFEF division.

Aziz was brought in to strengthen the team’s attacking options, showcasing his dribbling and scoring talent. However, he has only appeared in two matches—debuting with 15 minutes against Real Sociedad B and another 10 minutes in the Catalan derby against Nàstic. These brief appearances have hindered his ability to make a lasting impression.

Unlike fellow Ghanaian David Oduro, who initially enjoyed a strong start but later fell out of favor, Aziz has struggled to adapt to the team and the coach’s tactical setup. With his loan set to expire at the end of the season, his future at FC Barcelona remains uncertain.

The competition for places and Sánchez’s preference for other players further complicate Aziz’s chances of securing a permanent deal. While Oduro’s contract with Barça runs until 2027, Aziz faces the challenge of proving his worth within a narrow window of opportunity.

As the season progresses, Aziz will need to rise to the occasion if he hopes to salvage his dream of thriving at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
