A Star on the Rise in Partizan’s Dominance
Zubairu Ibrahim, the former Ghana U20 captain, continues to impress in the Serbian Super Liga, earning a spot in the Team of the Week after his stellar performance for FK Partizan Belgrade. Ibrahim found the back of the net for the fifth time this league season during Partizan’s commanding 3-0 victory over FK Jedinstvo Ub on Saturday at the iconic Partizana Stadium.
The game began in a cagey manner but burst into life after halftime. Israeli veteran Bibras Natcho opened the scoring for Partizan, capitalizing on a precise pass from Bosnian midfielder Stefan Kovac. Shortly after, Serbian forward Nemanja Nikolic doubled the lead, slotting home an assist from Congolese attacker Aldo Kalulu.
It was Kalulu’s brilliance again that set up Ibrahim for the final goal in the 53rd minute. The Ghanaian forward displayed his clinical finishing ability, slotting home calmly to seal the comprehensive win against his former club.
Partizan’s dominance extended to the bench, where former Dreams FC player Leonard Owusu made a late appearance, replacing Kovac in the 77th minute to provide additional midfield depth.
This latest performance adds to Ibrahim’s impressive tally of six goals and three assists across 19 appearances in all competitions this season, cementing his status as one of the most promising talents in Serbian football.
