Arsenal legend Adrian Clarke has called on the Gunners to act quickly and sign Mohammed Kudus as a temporary solution for Bukayo Saka’s absence.
The England international suffered a serious injury during Arsenal’s emphatic 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace on December 21, 2024. Forced off in the first half, Saka left Selhurst Park on crutches, with reports hinting he could miss several weeks of action. Adding to the headache for Mikel Arteta, Raheem Sterling has also been sidelined following an injury in training.
With Arsenal’s wing options now severely depleted, Clarke believes Kudus, currently excelling at West Ham, is the perfect candidate to step in.
“Kudus is someone Arsenal have admired for a long time,” Clarke said on talkSPORT. “He’s a top-class dribbler, a brilliant ball carrier, and can contribute effectively up front. If there’s a chance to test West Ham’s resolve this month, Arsenal should absolutely go for it.”
Kudus, 24, has been in scintillating form since his arrival at West Ham, netting 17 goals in 61 appearances. His performances have put him on the radar of Europe’s elite, making him a prime target for any ambitious club.
With Arsenal aiming to maintain their title challenge, signing a versatile player like Kudus could be the boost they need to navigate this critical period.
