“Cyriel Dessers’ Future in Limbo as Transfer Links Heat Up: Could a January Move Be on the Cards?”

Cyriel Dessers’ time at Rangers appears to be uncertain as the Nigerian striker faces mounting transfer speculation. Having fallen down the pecking order in favor of Moroccan forward Hamza Igamane, Dessers’ future at Ibrox is now under serious scrutiny. Despite a solid tally of 13 goals and 4 assists in 32 appearances this season, the 30-year-old has admitted that his situation at the Scottish club has become difficult.

The player’s growing frustration, coupled with reports linking him to Serie A side Cagliari and Spanish club Leganes, have added to the uncertainty surrounding his tenure at Rangers. The speculation has prompted comments from former Sunderland midfielder Derek Ferguson, who weighed in on the matter.

Ferguson, speaking to Ibrox News, expressed doubt about Dessers’ commitment to the club. “He’s one of the club’s highest earners. He’ll come out and say he loves the club and whatnot, but I’m not so sure. I think he could go if the money is right. If Rangers can get him off the wage bill, that’s a goer,” Ferguson said, casting doubt on Dessers’ passion for the team.

With both Cagliari and Leganes reportedly interested in bolstering their attacking options, the striker could find a new home as the January transfer window edges closer to its end. Dessers, one of Rangers’ top earners, could be offered a fresh start at a new club, potentially helping the Glasgow giants reduce their wage expenses.

Whether he stays or departs, Dessers’ future in Glasgow looks increasingly uncertain as he navigates a challenging period in his career.
