Bayer Leverkusen winger Jeremie Frimpong recently shared his thoughts on the differences between football setups in Europe and Ghana. The talented player, who has Dutch and Ghanaian roots, expressed admiration for the stability of European leagues.
“In Europe, the football setup is really good and stable. I’m not saying the setup in Ghana is bad, but the level of consistency in Europe stands out,” Frimpong explained. He highlighted the seamless organization of matches, free from cancellations and disruptions, as one of the reasons why European football maintains its high standards.
Interestingly, Frimpong admitted he has never watched the Ghana Premier League, so he refrained from making direct comparisons. However, he emphasized that with greater stability and organization, Ghanaian football could achieve significant progress.
His comments come amidst growing discussions on how African leagues can reach the standards of their European counterparts. Stability, infrastructure, and consistent management are often at the heart of the conversation.
