Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong has put an end to mounting transfer speculation linking him to clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, and Real Madrid. Following Leverkusen’s triumph in the 2023/24 Bundesliga, the Dutch-Ghanaian fullback has been at the center of rumors regarding a potential move to one of Europe’s elite clubs.
Speaking to Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, Frimpong reaffirmed his commitment to Leverkusen, stating, “I’m 100 percent here in my head—just like I always have been since I’ve been here.” He addressed the transfer buzz, saying, “I kept hearing things about myself that I’m going to go here, there, or there. And I’m still here. These rumors are part of football, so I won’t let them influence me.”
The 23-year-old remains focused on his ambitions with Leverkusen, emphasizing his desire for success. “As long as I win trophies, I’m happy. I definitely want to win the Champions League—that’s my dream. And then preferably the World Cup,” he added.
With his eyes firmly set on Leverkusen’s future challenges, Frimpong has made it clear that he is not distracted by external noise, prioritizing his goals on and off the pitch.
