Joseph Aidoo Set for Real Valladolid Loan Move Amid Struggles at Celta Vigo

Ghanaian Defender Seeks Fresh Start After Injury Comeback

Joseph Aidoo is on the verge of joining Real Valladolid on loan from Celta Vigo for the remainder of the season. The Ghanaian center-back has struggled for game time this term, making just one league appearance—a single minute in a 3-1 victory against Valladolid on September 15, 2024.

Celta Vigo, currently battling at the bottom of La Liga, sees the move as an opportunity for Aidoo to regain form and fitness after a long layoff due to an Achilles tendon injury sustained in October 2023. However, before sealing the deal, the 29-year-old must undergo a medical, with concerns still lingering over his full recovery.

Valladolid, also facing relegation danger, are desperate for reinforcements to bolster their defensive line in a bid to turn their season around. Aidoo’s arrival could provide much-needed experience and solidity as they fight for survival in Spain’s top tier.
