Plymouth Argyle has secured the signature of Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo in a move that promises to elevate the club’s versatility and quality.
Jimmy Dickinson, Plymouth’s Head of Recruitment, described Baidoo as a long-term target, expressing delight at finally bringing the talented midfielder to the club.
“Michael has been on our radar for a while, and we’re thrilled he chose Argyle despite interest from top clubs across Europe,” Dickinson stated. “He’s proven his talent as the standout player in Elfsborg’s Europa League campaign and recently earned his international debut for Ghana. His ability to play in multiple positions will add much-needed versatility to our squad.”
Baidoo, who will don the number 30 jersey, is awaiting EFL approval and international clearance to complete the move. If finalized in time, he could make his debut on January 11 against Brentford.
The midfielder’s arrival comes as Plymouth aims to bolster its roster to push for greater success in the league. Baidoo’s pedigree and experience make him a key addition, aligning with the club’s ambitions.
