Otto Addo’s Future in Doubt: GFA’s Henry Asante Twum Responds to Criticism

Accra, Ghana – A Leadership Question Amidst Disappointing Results

The future of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo hangs in the balance following Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Speaking to Sporty FM, Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), acknowledged the growing public dissatisfaction with the tactician’s performance.

“Based on results, one can easily conclude Otto Addo shouldn’t be there,” Asante Twum admitted. “But before his appointment, it was made clear that there would be tough times.”

Despite widespread calls for Addo’s dismissal, reports suggest that the GFA is leaning toward retaining him. An official announcement is expected next month ahead of Ghana’s crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

As fans express frustration, the GFA faces a critical decision that could shape the national team’s future trajectory.
