Hobro IK fans have reason to celebrate as their former star striker, Richmond Gyamfi, makes a highly anticipated return to the club on loan from AGF for the remainder of the season.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian forward, who became Hobro’s record transfer last summer when he moved to Danish Superliga side AGF, reunites with the NordicBet League side to reignite his connection with the team and its supporters. Gyamfi’s previous stint at Hobro was nothing short of remarkable, with the striker tallying three goals and four assists in just ten appearances.
Technical director Lars Justesen couldn’t hide his delight at the loan deal, calling Gyamfi a “unique talent” who shares a deep bond with the club. “Richmond knows what it means to wear the Hobro jersey, and we believe his return will inspire the team in our push for a top-six finish,” Justesen said.
For Gyamfi, the feeling is mutual. “Hobro is like home to me,” he said with a smile. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to come back and contribute to this incredible club. I can’t wait to create more special moments with the team and the fans.”
Sporting the number 19 jersey, Gyamfi has already rejoined training at the DS Arena, where he is set to provide an immediate boost to the team’s attacking prowess. His return adds momentum to Hobro’s ambitious campaign as they strive for a strong finish in the league.
Fans are eager to see Gyamfi back in action, and with his talent and passion for the club, his presence promises to be a game-changer for Hobro IK this season.
