Brighton, England – Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has heaped praise on 17-year-old sensation Ethan Nwaneri following the youngster’s impressive display in a 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium on Saturday.
Starting his second consecutive Premier League game, Nwaneri showcased his growing potential by scoring a stunning first-half goal that put Arsenal ahead. However, the Gunners had to settle for a point after Joao Pedro’s penalty equalized for Brighton.
Speaking to the club’s website post-match, Partey expressed his admiration for Nwaneri’s rapid development.
“He’s a very good player, and we all know the quality he brings,” the Ghanaian international said. “He’s working hard, improving, and I’m really happy for him today. Scoring was a big moment for him.”
Partey acknowledged the disappointment of not securing all three points but remained optimistic about Nwaneri’s future. “It could have been better if we’d won, but he needs to keep improving. I wish him all the best,” he added.
Nwaneri’s goal against Brighton takes his tally to five in the ongoing campaign, further cementing his status as one of Arsenal’s brightest prospects.
