Francis Amuzu’s South American Adventure: Belgian-Ghanaian Winger Joins Grêmio

A New Chapter Begins

Brazilian club Grêmio has officially secured the signature of Francis Amuzu, bringing the Belgian-Ghanaian winger to South America in a two-year deal that runs until December 2026. The 25-year-old attacker leaves Anderlecht after a decade of service, embarking on an exciting new journey in the Brazilian Série A.

With the European transfer window closed and interest from clubs like Napoli failing to materialize, Grêmio swiftly moved to finalize Amuzu’s transfer. The deal, considered financially reasonable for the club, also comes with a lucrative $2 million annual salary for the pacy winger.

A Proven Talent Ready to Shine

Amuzu arrives with a reputation for speed, versatility, and attacking flair. Over 250 appearances for Anderlecht saw him contribute 28 goals and 24 assists, proving himself as a reliable forward option. His experience at the youth level for Belgium, including a goal at the 2019 UEFA U-21 European Championship, adds further pedigree to his profile.

Grêmio fans are optimistic about what he brings to the squad, with hopes that his dynamism will bolster the team’s domestic and international ambitions. Now, all eyes turn to how Amuzu adapts to the Brazilian style of play and the challenges of a new continent.
