Wydad AC Sets Sights on Ghanaian Striker Samuel Obeng to Bolster Attack

Casablanca’s Giants Eye Reinforcements for Title Ambitions

Wydad Athletic Club is making waves in the winter transfer market, determined to reclaim their place at the top of Moroccan and African football. With an eye on strengthening their squad, the Casablanca-based club is now in advanced talks to secure the services of Ghanaian forward Samuel Obeng Gyabaa from Portuguese side Casa Pia.

The 27-year-old striker, who has previously played in Spain with Real Oviedo and Huesca, has found the net once in 11 Liga Portugal appearances this season. Despite a modest goal tally, his experience and attacking prowess make him an attractive option for Wydad as they seek reinforcements in the final third.

A Key Addition to Wydad’s Ambitions

Sources close to the club suggest that negotiations with Obeng are progressing well, with officials eager to finalize the deal before the transfer window closes. If completed, the move would add another dimension to Wydad’s attack as they chase glory in the Botola Pro League, the Throne Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Wydad’s transfer activity has already been impressive. They recently secured Bolivian forward Ramiro Vaca, a key target, while also reinforcing their squad with goalkeeper Mehdi Benabid, defender Fahad Moufi, and defensive midfielder Mikael Malsa.

With the squad shaping up for a strong second half of the season, Wydad fans are eager to see if Obeng’s arrival will provide the cutting edge needed to propel them to success.
